The Challenge

Designing an Industry 4.0 web application, Cyber ​​Doctor, for the automated testing of dialysis machines produced by Gambro Dasco.

Requirements:
• real-time monitoring of test results and management of large amounts of data (Big data)
• automatic execution of different types of tests for the both the Manufacturing and the Verification & Validation departments
• data integration with software systems for test management and quality management used in the company

 

The solution

Cyber ​​Doctor

The Cyber ​​Doctor System is an Industry 4.0 web application designed in collaboration with network partners for the automated testing of dialysis machines produced by the company and distributed worldwide by Gambro Dasco.

The Cyber ​​Doctor application has been designed to enable:

  • The planning and automatic execution of complex and long-lasting tests (24/7) for the Manufacturing department
  • An automatic and parallel planning and execution of simple and short-term tests for the Verification & Validation department
  • The collection and management of large amounts of data (Big data)
  • A real-time monitoring of test results through web application
  • The integration with the company systems for the execution, verification and validation of tests on machines used by the production and quality control departments

 

Results

• Innovation of the production process with a view to Industry 4.0 upgrade thorugh the integration and analysis of Big Data produced by the machines during tests
• Automation of testing processes for both the production department and the quality control department
• Centralized management and collection of test data that is then integrated with company systems for the execution, verification and validation of tests on machines
• Optimization of the machines production process through a significant reduction in time-to-market and in costs for the execution and management of tests
